Three South West Police representatives headed to work for the last time on Thursday, September 20.
Senior Constable Rick Lyon, Senior Constable Laurie Green, and Sergeant Brian McCormack received a formal send-off from the Western Australian Police Force.
Led by South West District Superintendent Mick Sutherland, the service saw the three retiring officers say their goodbyes and participate in a march-off.
They were also given their retired officer badges of identification.
Bunbury Police Officer in Charge Mal Jones, Sergeant Craig Clarke, and Inspector Peter Morrissey spoke highly of the trio’s achievements.
It’s quite unique having three senior police officers leaving at once, all out of very high profile positions.

Sen. Const. Lyon took up the mantle of Waroona Police Officer in Charge in 1991.
He then left Waroona in 1996 to serve in Bunbury, helping to protect the community for over 22 years.
Leaving the force after 38 years of service, Sen Const. Lyon has a few plans for his retirement.
“It’s a really good job, the countryside is very good, and the people are very good,” he said.
“I fell in love with the South West, bought a house down here, and elected lifestyle over promotion to stay in the region.
“I have just finished being president of the Eaton Bowling Club and I am looking at doing a Diploma in Hospitality and moving into the hospitality game.”
Sen. Const. Green served all over the state before making his way to the region in 1990.
During his four decades as part of WA’s police force, he received the National Police Service Medal and the WA Police Service Medal.
Performing as a police prosecutor in Perth and South West, Sgt. McCormack was seminal throughout his 39 years of service.
Superintendent Sutherland said they have all remained dedicated and hard working during their time in the South West District.
“They have built up a wealth of knowledge over many years,” he said.
“It’s quite unique having three senior police officers leaving at once, all out of very high profile positions.
“They really have made Bunbury their home.”
The three have combined service record of 117 years.
