The Collie Basketball Association has new uniforms for the new season thanks to sponsorships from Bankwest, Unity Bank and Bendigo Bank.
Association secretary Simone Fraser said the junior basketball teams were ‘desperately’ in need of new uniforms for the upcoming season.
“You’re usually looking at every six years needing to replace them all and it’s a really expensive exercise,” she said.
“Thankfully Bankwest, Unity Bank and Bendigo Bank all chipped in and the association covered the rest for the new uniforms.”
Ms Fraser said the association had also decided to replace the white uniforms with blue, along with subliminating the numbers and logos to make them last as long as possible.
Ms Fraser said registrations closed on Friday, September 28 and that the numbers for the new season were looking good, with a large number of new players signing up in all grades.
“We’ve got a lot of new players, which is good, and now we’re just hoping all our past players will sign up again to play,” she said.
