UPDATE:
Just before 11am on October 11, 2018, police confirmed assistance was no longer required in the search for missing man Denis Jeffries.
A spokesperson confirmed Mr Jeffries is deceased of non-suspicious causes and police are preparing a report for the coroner.
October 10:
South West police and State Emergency Services crews have continued their search for 69-year-old Denis Jeffries.
Officers and SES personnel from Murray, Australind, and Bunbury set up a control point at the Settlers Hall in Leschenault to look for Mr Jeffries in surrounding bushland.
SES personnel conducted bike patrols and searches through sections of bushland in Leschenault and Australind.
Police are gathering information and calling upon community members for assistance.
South West Police told the Mail several sightings of Mr Jeffries between Saturday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 10 have been reported.
One person told police they had seen him riding his bike on Old Coast Road, Australind on October 9.
The RAC Rescue Helicopter was deployed to monitor the area yesterday evening.
Mr Jeffries is described as 175 centimetres tall, medium build, fair skinned with a grey beard and moustache, receding grey/dark hair, and brown eyes.
It’s believed he had been riding a black and white Scott hybrid bicycle while wearing a light polo T-shirt, black shorts, purple and white sneakers, and bicycle helmet.
