Members of the South West Eagles' Supporters Club got the chance to meet West Coast Eagles premiership coach Adam Simpson over the weekend.
At the group’s 2018 wind-up at Glen Huon Reserve on Saturday night, the guest of honour was treated to a rendition of the West Coast Eagles theme song by the contingent of fans in attendance.
Simpson then regaled the crowd with stories about the Eagles’ journey to the 2018 premiership title.
The coach discussed everything from the grand final clash, to Nic Naitanui’s season-ending ACL injury, to Andrew Gaff’s decision to re-sign with the club.
Simpson thanked the fans for their support, and vowed the Eagles would continue its success long into the future.
The South West Eagles’ Supporters club’s 110 members travel to and from Optus Stadium to catch the Eagles’ home games during the AFL season.
South West Eagles’ Supporters Club president Colin Demiani said its members have banded together to support the team and each other.
“We run buses to and from Perth to get people around safely,” he said.
“We’re here to support the Eagles and make sure our members get to the games.”
Those interested in joining can contact Mr Demiani on 0418941316.
