A 24-year-old Collie man was fined $1200 and banned from driving for six months after being found guilty of two driving offences in the Collie Magistrates Court on November 7.

Tayler Michael Leadbitter did not appear in court on the day but was convicted in his absence of driving with an illicit drug in his system and no authority to drive in relation to an incident on September 6.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Morrissey told the court Leadbitter had been pulled over by police and a roadside drug test was positive for methamphetamine.
She said police also found that Leadbitter’s license had been suspended due to unpaid fines.
Magistrate Evan Shackleton imposed a $700 fine and six-month disqualification for the drug-related offence and a $500 fine for driving with a suspended licence.
