headspace Bunbury recently held a meet and greet day at Rocky Point to give the community a chance to meet the organisation’s famous mental health cow – Clementine.
A joint partnership with Dardanup farmer Peter Milton, Iluka and headspace, the well-loved cow has been helping to bring awareness and get conversations started around mental health for the past two years.
headspace Bunbury Community engagement office Penny McCall said more than 50 community members had come down to meet the beloved cow last week.
“This is the third time the event has run as a chance to celebrate the year and the work Clementine has done in the community,” she said.
“In 2018, Clementine has travelled to Broome and back stopping at local lions clubs, community groups, men’s sheds and more to get the conversation started in rural towns and among the farming community.
“Clementine has also supported headspace Bunbury for the past two years attending school talks.
Clementine was auctioned off following the event and raised more than $3,000 for the Black Dog Ride.
While she enjoys her retirement another cow will take on her important duties next year.
