Collie Police Senior Sergeant Heath Soutar has urged the community to be vigilant of anyone riding unlicensed trailbikes without helmets.

Senior Sergeant Soutar said police had received a number of reports from concerned locals, particularly around the Mungalup Road and Minninup Pool area.
“It’s difficult for us to police because often by the time we get there, they’re gone,” he said.
“What we’re looking for is anyone who sees this and can provide a statement with an address where it has come from, or even dash cam footage, and then we can get these bikes off the road.”
Senior Sergeant Soutar said the people seen riding the trailbikes were often young and inexperienced, and worryingly they often weren’t wearing helmets.
“We don’t want another unnecessary tragic death on our roads, like what happened in Kalgoorlie a couple of years ago, and we rely heavily on the public help us get these bikes off the road.”
