Tornadoes Red’s men’s team earned its sixth win of the season by obliterating Eaton in round 15.
In front by nine at the main break, Tornadoes Red dominated the second half.
After Eaton slumped in the fourth term, the Tornadoes side celebrated a 66 to 48 win.
Travis Durnin (31), Chris Douglass (27), and Clive Weeden (23) kept Bulls’s winning streak alive, defeating Aces White 91 to 80.
Aces White shared the love, with five of its players reaching double figures. Aces White ran out of steam, before the league leaders further extended their margin.
Third-placed Aces Sky secured a 10-point win over the Oilers. Dunsborough was no match for Aces Sky, who went on to win 97 to 87.
Luke Deighton (33) and Cory Richardson (27) were exceptional throughout the clash.
In the women’s competition, Tornadoes Black faced off against Tornadoes Red in a fun derby showdown.
Learning from its mistakes in the first term, Tornadoes Black clinched a 33 to 26 half-time lead. Finishing strong, the league leaders picked up a 74 to 57 win.
Dunsborough retained second spot with a 92 to 48 thrashing over Aces Sky. Oilers’ stars Adele East and Dana East shot 25 and 23 respectively.
In round 16, Bulls scored an 89 to 78 victory over Tornadoes Red’s men’s line-up.
James Goodlad (20) starred for Bulls, while Alastair Ishigami-Sims top-scored for Tornadoes Red with 24.
Aces Sky fought to secure a 20-point victory over Aces White. After falling behind in the first term, Aces Sky took the lead before moving further in front in the second half.
Tornadoes Black destroyed an undermanned Dunsborough. The Tornadoes side excelled from the opening tip-off, going on to win 106 to 46.
In the women’s league, the Oilers defeated Tornadoes Red, 85 to 77, in a nail-biting tussle.
With the scores tied up at half time, Dunsborough was the stronger side in the second half. Tornadoes Red star Courtney Bayliss (32) landed a remarkable 10 three-pointers.
Tornadoes Black sits four wins clear on top of the ladder, following its 75 to 34 win over Aces Sky.
Cian Parsons (21) and Jasmine Barrett (20) were remarkable throughout the contest.
