Bunbury held its Australia Day celebrations and Citizenship Ceremony on Saturday morning

Bunbury residents came together on Saturday morning to celebrate Australia Day. 

Prior to the City of Bunbury’s Citizenship Ceremony and Citizen of the Year Awards Ceremony, hundreds of athletes took part in the 2019 Australia Day Fun Run. 

Runners and Walkers left from the leschenault Inlet at 7.30am, supported by friends and onlookers. 

The participants all crossed the line with smiles on their faces.  

During the City of Bunbury’s Australia Day ceremony at the Graham Bricknell Music Shell, Ben Andrew was presented with the Citizen of the Year award. 

Praised for her volunteering efforts, Louise Bradford received the Young Citizen of the Year award. 

Community Group of the Year saw joint winners Bunbury RSL Sub Branch and Doors Wide Open accept the award. 

Bunbury Rowing Club was the proud recipient of the Wilcox Brown Perpetual Trophy.
