Solo singer-songwriter James Abberley has turned his passion for music into a fruitful career.
Abberley will bring his collection of tunes to Bunbury's Prince of Wales Hotel on Friday, March 29.
Prior to his latest tour, Abberley formed a three-piece roots/hip hop band with Darren Reutens and Dave Mann.
"I haven't been to Bunbury yet...I am really looking forward to the show at the Prince of Wales," he said.
"We're in a Toyota Coaster at the moment, that we've converted into kind of a mobile home.
"I am really frothing over being on the road, and being fully sustainable in our set of wheels.
"Performing is like the rosemary on the lamb or the cherry on the cake; this is the perfect lifestyle for myself and my partner."
The tour follows on from the release of Abberley's latest single, Into the Sun.
"The single has got a lot of feeling in it, based around being on the road," he said.
"It's a really powerful song. Most of the time I write music that's really personal and full of feeling, whereas this one is really happy.
"I am hoping that everyone can get something out of it. I also hope it inspires people to go after what they want to achieve."
Following his move from Adelaide to Ningaloo Reef, Abberley created a number of soulful, magnetic indie-roots songs.
His love for the outdoors has seen him perform in big and small venues across Australia.
