Around 100 competitors hit the track for one of Bunbury City Kart Club's biggest annual events.
In the 2019 Coastal Classic on March 23, drivers from all over Western Australia competed across 10 main divisions.
The junior and senior drivers quickly became accustomed to Bunbury City Kart Club's first-class conditions.
Bunbury City Kart Club president Peter "Pinky" Mortimer said the competition delivered fun racing action along with many happy memories.
"We've been running the Coastal Classic for about five or six years, and we've been trying to build it up over that time," he said.
"The camaraderie is great, and we all help each other out during the day.
"We've got some good numbers in the senior and junior classes, the event has a really strong competitor base.
"Karting makes for a good starting point for any junior driver. It's good for hand-eye coordination.
"It helps them to learn how to drive, and it teaches them some discipline."
