March 21 saw schools from all over the Greater Bunbury region celebrate multiculturalism, happiness, and togetherness.
One of the schools, South Bunbury Primary School, allowed its students and teachers to wear orange, in celebration of Harmony Day.
Students and parents were surveyed about their cultural backgrounds. They then used a world map to identify their country/countries of origin.
South Bunbury Primary School acting deputy principal Tamara Bromley said the activities helped the students to learn more about the world around them.
"We are celebrating diversity and the varying cultures within our school," she said.
"Orange represents freedom of ideas, respect, and the communication of ideas.
"Our classes completed an array of activities to encourage inclusivity.
"We celebrate the spirit of collaboration. We like to work together to achieve some common goals and amazing things.
"It's about recognising that we have a variety of cultures within our community."
Western Australians celebrated Harmony Week between March 15 and 24.
