The Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc with the Shire of Collie are looking at hosting a community expo in Collie's Central Park next year for sporting clubs.
The expo will be to encourage sporting clubs and groups to sign up and set up on the day, to create a main registration and information day which will give members of the public open an opportunity to find out about the different teams and sports in town and sign up to one, or several if they desire.
Collie Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc chief executive officer Rebecca Woods said at the moment they were calling on expressions of interest for sporting clubs to get on board.
"It will be for all sporting groups to come together to showcase what Collie has to offer," she said.
"I do understand that some people would have already had their sporting season wrap-up at that time but you can still showcase your sport on the day."
She said with each club holding a registration day on their own accord it would make it easier if all of that information was available in one spot for people.
The date for the expo is to be advised but will most likely be hosted around the time school goes back in 2020.
The expo is also set to have sporting demonstrations on the Bendigo Bank Music Shell stage and also a sausage sizzle.
