Her career spans more than three decades and she has the hits as well as Emmy wins and Grammy nominations to show for it.
Now, legendary recording artist Toni Childs has embarked on her biggest Australian tour yet with almost 60 shows over three months.
The Retrospective tour will take to the stage at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on May 19.
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Childs' critically acclaimed album Union, the singer songwriter will spend two hours in a special performance, belting out all her very best hits.
In an interview with the Mail, Childs said audiences could expect all of the classic hits, as well as a few surprises plus animation and high tech audience engagement.
"I think of it like this, the show is like a chocolate box of memories because you know when you open a chocolate box, you want to go for all your favourites first? Well that's what it's like with this show," she said.
"It's a retrospective of my life's work in the present time and into the future but we're starting with those beautiful, delicious memories that people have from the last 30 years and that's all in the first hour.
"In the second hour we're into the present music and the future. I have an album It's All A Beautiful Noise that will be released next year and another Citizens Of The Planet that won't be officially released until 2025."
Childs, who is also an installation artist, said she has had a lot of fun adding her own creative flair to her future sound.
"It's a celebration, it's super positive, it's super playful," she said.
"I have all these ideas inspired by the music...I want to energise people and infuse them with positivity.
"Having something that's fun and your jaw drops at the beauty of it."
