The big stage at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre will come alive with a talented young ensemble of first nations and multicultural performers set to sparkle in the acclaimed play written and directed by Tony Briggs.
A heart warming tale set in 1968 during a time of social upheaval, it tells the story of a singing group of young Yorta Yorta women who tour Vietnam to sing classic songs for the troops.
BREC executive director Fiona de Garis said the show had been selling out across the east coast with rave reviews.
"The live band, sparkling frocks and gorgeous musical numbers make The Sapphires a highly entertaining and uplifting experience while still exploring the issues of race, prejudice and acceptance," she said.
"I strongly encourage coming along with friends and family and enjoy a great night out."
The Sapphires will play one night only on August 10.
