A humpback whale carcass washed up on the Back Beach, near the Ocean Drive/Stockley Road intersection, on Saturday, July 20.
A shark advice warning was issued, before the City of Bunbury closed off the beach to the public.
Parks and Wildlife Service officers are concerned the carcass may attract sharks to the area.
The local rangers will be out in force throughout the day.
Community members from all over Bunbury have gathered to catch a glimpse of the carcass.
