Bunbury Water Polo Club member Heather Scott has soared to even greater heights.
Scott was recently selected for the 2019 Australian Country Women's Team.
Australia's women's and men's sides will travel to Hong Kong for the 21st Panasonic Asia Pacific Water Polo Tournament, from August 16 to 18.
Last year's event attracted 13 men's sides and four women's teams overall.
Players will get the chance to bond during a three-day training camp, ahead of the competition.
Scott told the Mail she was thrilled with her results from the past few months.
"It feels pretty awesome. It was a bit of a surprise, I wasn't expecting to get picked," she said.
"I will be playing centre back, which I haven't done for a while.
"I'm really looking forward to playing at a higher level. I haven't done that since I was a teenager.
"It also feels great to be able to represent Australia."
The players were chosen based on their efforts in the 2019 Australian Country Water Polo Championships on the Gold Coast.
The competition brought together more than 200 players and officials from around Australia.
WA's women's side fell short against New South Wales, 3-7, in the bronze medal match.
Prior to the national event, Scott took part in the 2019 WA Country Championships in Busselton.
Scott was picked for the All-Stars side and tied for Women's Tournament Best and Fairest.
