An elderly resident has been hospitalised this week following a burglary in her Collie home.

Last Friday night, Collie police received a call to an 82-year-old woman's house for a reported burglary and theft while the owner was away.
The perpetrators entered through a back window and stole a number of items, including jewellery, purses and handbags.
Police report the woman experienced a medical issue when she returned home, as a result of the shock of the incident.
Police are investigating the incident and said the woman remained in hospital, but her health had improved since being transferred to Bunbury St John of God's coronary care unit over the weekend.
The Collie Waste Transfer Station also suffered a tresspass and burglary during the past week.
Police were called to the site last Thursday night at 10pm and observed a 41-year-old male at the site.
The man is believed to have trespassed in order to take items to sell online. He was arrested and charged by police with trespass and will face the magistrate this week.
The weekend also saw a spate of vehicle-related incidents, with one member of the public calling police to report a theft.
Police were called to an incident in which a man allegedly stole a 22kg bottle of reclaimed gas from a vehicle that was parked at a home in Laurie Street.
Police and residents are seeking the public's help to track down the bottle due to the dangerous nature of the gas and regulations surrounding its disposal..
Another car was stolen from a private property that same afternoon.
And a member of the public was unpacking groceries from their car when a passer-by allegedly stole a range of items, including a torch, tools and sunglasses from the unlocked vehicle while the owner was inside the house.
Police attended more than 80 call outs over the past week in Collie and the surrounding areas, with five people making their way through the lock up.
