Swan Taxis is now operating within the Greater Bunbury Region, with the introduction of Swan Taxis Bunbury.
Four branded vehicles are now servicing the region. The company has planned to further grow its fleet to better service the state's second largest city.
ComfortDelGro/Swan Taxis chief executive WA Carey Marshall said the expansion into Bunbury signified the company's commitment to growing its fleet in Perth and other regional centres.
"With the advent of industry deregulation, we took on the opportunity of extending our service into Bunbury," he said.
"This means that we can now service customers from the north of Perth right down to Busselton.
"The move into Bunbury complements our existing regional services."
The company's call centre already dispatches bookings for taxi companies in other regional centres, including Kalgoorlie, Mandurah, Broome, Geraldton and Karratha.
"Swan Taxis understands the importance of local knowledge," Mr Marshall said.
Many people within the company have lived in or are familiar with Bunbury, so we're familiar with the city's geography, landmarks, venues, and facilities.
"This will enable customers to not only deal with a leading call centre, but also with a team that understands Bunbury."
Swan Taxis taxi driver Subeg Ludhar is excited about joining the fleet.
"By combining a leading and professional taxi dispatch service, with the local knowledge offered by the Swan Taxis Bunbury team, I believe the public of Bunbury will enjoy a better taxi travel experience," Mr Ludhar said.
