Emergency services crews worked together to contain a house fire in Woodrow Street, Carey Park on Thursday, October 3.
One local resident, who did not wish to be identified, said she saw black smoke billowing from the house.
Two young men ran towards the property, before checking to see if anyone was inside.
Bunbury Fire Brigade and Bunbury Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service personnel attended the scene at 10.04am, before bringing the blaze under control at 10.45am.
Impacting the roof and the back of the house, the fire caused an estimated $350,000 in damage.
The occupants were not home at the time.
A neighbour, who also did not wish to be identified, said the police, fire crews, and public responded well to the situation. Bunbury detectives are currently investigating the matter.
