Community organisations are coming together to put on a show at the Australind Family Christmas Carols on December 7, at Treendale Primary School.

The free event will include stage performances from local schools, churches, and community groups along with a visit from Santa.

The gates will open at 4.30pm, with light entertainment and food available. The concert will begin at 5.15pm and finish at 7pm.

Attendees are welcome to bring a picnic or purchase the sausage sizzles, drinks, coffees, and ice creams provided.

"We really want to put on a family event which everyone can enjoy," Australind Baptist Church representative and event organiser Geoff Harrison said.

"The early start time will make it easier for families with young children to attend. The performances will include songs which everyone can sing along to.

"It's a not-for-profit event and any funds raised will go towards covering the event running costs.

"So grab your picnic blanket, your family and friends. We'll see you at the Australind Family Christmas Carols this weekend."
