QantasLink expands its regional Victoria routes
If you're heading to regional Victoria in 2020, QantasLink has announced it will launch flights between Mildura and Sydney, as well as increase the number of services to Bendigo.
Starting from 29 March 2020, QantasLink will operate flights four days per week between Sydney and Mildura with its 74-seat Dash 8 Q400 turboprop aircraft, offering more than 30,000 seats each year. The new service will be the only direct connection between Sydney and Mildura, saving about two hours in travel time compared to flying via Melbourne. Earlier this year, QantasLink introduced a Bendigo-Sydney route which has proven popular. The airline is adding three additional flights per week. Sale fares from Mildura to Sydney are available from $179 for select dates until 25 October 2020. Sale ends 18 December 2019.

Air NZ goes greener
The world's best airline for 2020, Air New Zealand, is trialling edible coffee cups, in the air and on the ground, in a bid to reduce the average traveller's environmental footprint.
The airline serves more than eight million cups of coffee every year and recently switched to plant-based cups, which are made from paper and corn, and easily broken down in a commercial composter. This means the airline will save 15 million coffee cups from landfills annually. Taking it one step further, Air New Zealand has now partnered with Kiwi start-up Twiice, which has created a vanilla-flavoured biscotti coffee cup that is not only leak-proof but is also a sweet treat to enjoy after your coffee.
