Well the time has come, we've all being eyeing off the presents under our trees for the past couple of weeks and now we can find out just what has been waiting for us.
Christmas seems to roll around a little bit quicker every year and 2019 has certainly been another big one in politics.
The really big thing that I believe everyone in Parliament should be proud of is that we finally got the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill passed by both houses before earlier this month.
Many tireless hours have been put into evaluating this bill in all its detail and I'm pleased that all MPs had the opportunity make a conscience vote on the issue.
I'm glad that we have overcome such a big hurdle in this process and that once the bill is passed into law suffering Western Australians will have a choice of what they want to do.
On a personal note, I've been looking forward to putting my feet up while enjoying the company of family and friends over the Christmas and New Year period.
There's always plenty of catching up to during a busy few weeks running here, there and everywhere.
I'm looking forward to listening to a few stories, telling a couple of my own and sharing a whole lot of laughs.
Just please make sure that wherever you are heading during the festive period that you arrive safely.
Take care on the roads and make sure that when you're having a drink or two that you know how you are getting home.
And finally, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
