Animals have been relocated as torrential rain caused flash-flooding at a wildlife park on the NSW Central Coast.
The Australian Reptile Park closed on Friday because of the flooding, with staff working to protect animals and sandbag doorways.
It's the first time the park has been forced to closed its doors since June 2007 when massive floods hit the area and wild winds caused a giant red coal ship - the Pasha Bulker - to run aground at Nobbys Beach in Newcastle.
While the downpour has caused issues for the park, the park team have welcomed the rain after months of hot and dry weather.
"This is incredible!" director Tim Faulkner said in a statement on Friday.
"We haven't seen flooding like this at the park for over 15 years! We've even had keepers stationed at our Alligator Lagoon to monitor the water levels, which were rising beyond the fence line."
The park released a video of the flooding in which Mr Faulkner is seen carrying two drenched koalas over a flooded bridge while keepers monitor the alligators in a rising lagoon.
Mr Faulkner said he's confident the park will be open on Saturday as normal.
