The team at the Moscow Ballet of Classical Choreography's 'La Classique' are working around the clock to put a fresh spin on an old classic.
Touring down under, the company will perform its latest production, Sleeping Beauty, at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre, at 2.30pm on March 8.
La Classique will then head to Mandurah, before travelling across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania.
With lavish costumes, wondrous stage sets, and Tchaikovsky's note-perfect score, the show will transport ballet lovers to the fairytale world of Princess Aurora.
Chief administrator and choreographer Andrey Lyapin said the company was thrilled to be performing for Australian and Kiwi audiences, yet again.
"We are expecting it to be a big success, because it's a very beautiful show with amazing sets, decorations, and costumes," he said.
"We have been performing across Australia and New Zealand over many years. We're very happy to be returning to both countries."
Founded in 1990 by current director Elik Melikov and the Union of Theatre Activists (USSR), La Classique now features more than 60 highly trained professional dancers.
The company's repertoire consists of classical ballets (Swan Lake, The Nutcracker etc.) and more modern productions.
Over the past three decades, the company has guided many famous dancers, choreographers, and trainers.
