Meet T-rex at the museum
Following a 15-month long, $57.5-million facelift, the Australian Museum in Sydney has announced it will open again on Saturday November 28.
To celebrate the reopening, general admission tickets will be free on opening day and for a limited time beyond.
The first exhibition to enter the shiny new gallery is "Tyrannosaurs - Meet the Family", an update on one of the museum's most popular attractions.
The popular Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year exhibition will also return to the Grand Hall space.
The touring exhibition hall has been expanded, which will allow the museum to host one major international travelling exhibition or two smaller exhibitions. A new gift shop, second cafe and expanded members lounge are also part of the refresh.

Up, up and away
After the success of its flights to 'nowhere', Qantas is launching scenic journeys to 'somewhere' as state borders open.
The flights include a one-night stay at some key holiday destinations in Australia.
The first experience will be a one-night return from Sydney to Uluru. The trip will include a pre-flight champagne breakfast in the lounge, a low-level fly-by over Sydney Harbour on departure and low-level circuits to offer passengers a bird's-eye view of Uluru and Kata Tjuta on arrival.
In a one-night stay at Sails in the Desert, guests will enjoy a hands-on Indigenous art workshop and a night at the Field of Light attraction. The following morning, watch the sun rise over Uluru during a guided walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole as well as a visit to neighbouring Kata Tjuta, before flying back to Sydney for a final harbour fly-by before landing.
