No Olympic athletes were among those affected. The latest numbers bring the total number of positive tests linked to the Olympics since July 1 to 169.
A total of 17 athletes have been infected so far.
The Tokyo region overall meanwhile recorded a record 3177 new cases, up from 2848 on Tuesday, the metropolitan government said.
Japan's capital is under a state of emergency for the duration of the Games, and Olympic competition takes place behind closed at all local venues.
