The clouds looked ominous at times, but it was a clear weekend for the 19th Bunbury Relay for Life.
Payne Park oval came alive on November 6 and 7 for the annual 24 hour fundraising event for the Cancer Council.
By 2.30pm on the Saturday the Relay for Life committee had already counted that their fundraising goal of $144,000 was reached.
At the end of the event, the committee recorded more than $150,000 raised.
The event started with an opening ceremony which included a special speech by a cancer survivor and paralympian Sharon Jarvis.
There was all the traditional activities of tug of war, music, dancing, food and the candlelight vigil.
