JUNIOR runners braved the cooler weather last week to take on their first Juniors Adventure Night at Bunbury's Recreation Oval.
Held on Thursday, December 16, around 30 junior runners enjoyed a variety of different challenges and obstacles as part of their first foray into the event.
The night was brought together and supported by Bunbury Runners Club members, notably juniors coordinator Karen McAneny, who was the brains behind most of the activities.
With the theme of Christmas, runners enjoyed a water slide, egg and spoon racing, a sack race and more.
The event concluded with the juniors being covered in chocolate sauce and shredded coconut, courtesy of volunteers and parents.
The Juniors Adventure Night led into the Runners Club annual Christmas run through the CBD, as escorted by the Bunbury Voluntary Fire Brigade.
