U.S. video game creator Rockstar Games has unveiled the trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) scheduled for full release in 2025.
The trailer, which was released 16 hours early after it leaked online, features GTA's signature debauchery including armed robberies, scenes inside strip clubs and raucous parties.
GTA 6 is highly anticipated with fans waiting more than a decade for the next installment after the wildly popular GTA 5 was released in 2013.
Fans are excited for a return to 'Vice City' which was one of three original locations introduced in Grand Theft Auto and is loosely based on Miami, Florida.
The trailer, which opens to the rocking guitar of Tom Petty's Love is a Long Road, introduces small-time criminals Lucia and Jason as lead characters in the sixth game.
Featured scenes from the trailer hint at storylines from the 2025 release including an airboat cutting through the Everglades, street racers in downtown Vice City and powerboats fleeing a dock.
And, keeping with the game's love of comedy and violence, a sequence with an alligator lumbering into a convenience store to cause mayhem.
