Round two of the South West Soccer Association league delivered some interesting matches in trying weather.
Busselton hosted Football Margaret River in round two, with the Busselton ladies continuing their winning streak.
The final score was 2-0 thanks to goals from Hannah Armstrong and Chelsea Braam.
The Dynamos/Hay Park ladies match featured horrible conditions which made for a tight contest.
Dynamos played well in the first half and were ahead 1-0 at the main break.
Hay Park were able to fight back but missed a few chances on goal. The final score was one-all.
In the ladies’ Premier Reserves match, Collie faced off with Bunbury United. However, it was a tough match for Collie who lost 9-0.
In the men’s Premier League match between Dynamos and Hay Park, Hay Park held on for the much needed match points.
Dynamos were one-up at the interval. The second half was a close affair with Hay Park scoring twice in the second half.
The pace of Jordan Whitehead and Ross Kirby caused the Dynamos’ defence problems. Both players found the back of the net for the visitors. The final score was 1-2.
The men’s Harvey Hawks played Bunbury United in the Division Two competition in trying conditions on Sunday.
Harvey started strong with three goals in the first half of the match.
In the second half, Bunbury fought back but could not find the net. Harvey kicked two goals in the second to seal the 5-0 victory.
Cody Ward took man of the match thanks to his strong positional play and creativity.
