Krikke MotorSport and driver Kerry Madsen took on some of Australia’s best drivers at Albany’s Atwell Park Speedway on Saturday night.
Competing in the combined World Series Sprintcars/Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series rounds, Madsen started from position three before finishing second.
Steve Lines reached the chequered flag ahead of Madsen, Darren Mollenoyux, Ben Ellement, and Lachlan McHugh.
Lines now leads by seven points, with Madsen and James McFadden close behind.
Sprintcar star Jason Kendrick claimed Revolution Racegear QuickTime honours. Myalup drivers Jamie and Brad Maiolo, of LJM Racing, were knocked out of heat four.
On Saturday, February 9, Madsen cruised to victory in the South Australian 410 Sprintcar Title at Whyalla’s Westline Speedway.
After starting in second, the Madman overtook early leader Brad Keller to claim the 30-lap feature race.
Earlier this month, Madsen placed second in the Mayor’s Cup at Toowoomba.
In the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series – Round 12, Kendrick won the feature race ahead of James Inglis and Jamie Maiolo.
Ellement started out in 14th and went on to finish fourth.
Kendrick hit the lead on lap 10 and held his position up until the chequered flag.
Prior to the feature race, he took out heat one and the Victory 1 Performance Quick Time event.
This weekend, Perth Motorplex will host the final two rounds of the World Sprintcars Series and the Maddington Toyota Sprintcar Series.
